Evaluation of Teaching & Courses

The evaluation section of the HEDC website contains information about a number of evaluation-related activities, including information on:

University of Otago Evaluation questionnaires administered by HEDC (click on Evaluation Questionnaires on left). This includes instructions on how to go about ordering an evaluation questionnaire.

The Otago Teaching Profile - a guide and forms are provided.

Peer Review 

Academic developers in HEDC are particularly keen to work individually with new and current teachers to help them build and evaluate their teaching portfolios and develop any aspect of their teaching and courses. Individual consultancies can be arranged by either contacting our academic staff directly (see above for staff contact information) or by emailing hedc@otago.ac.nz. Particular areas of expertise of HEDC’s academic staff are indicated at http://hedc.otago.ac.nz/hedc/asd/Areas-of-Expert-Assistance.html


Academic Staff Promotion and Progression, 2011 includes requirements for the evaluation of teaching and may be viewed or downloaded from the Human Resources website.
