Professional development for women
At Otago there is a range of activities that cater for the needs of women, whether general and academic staff. The Women’s Professional Development Programme is run jointly between Human Resources (main contact is Suzy Keene) and HEDC (main contact is Rachel Spronken-Smith).
The key activities include:
- Mentoring Programmes – there are separate programmes for female general and academic staff.
- Peer learning groups for female general staff – contact Suzy Keene, Human Resources.
- Workshop/Seminar programme – this covers aspects of interest to both general and academic staff.
- Women and Leadership Programme – this programme aims to further develop the leadership qualities of women at Otago.
