Student Workshop Programme

Our workshops are great for finding out what is expected of you at all levels of university study. These workshops are interactive, informal sessions designed to help you discover new techniques and skills to support your study. Whether you are an undergraduate or postgraduate student, we have a wide range of workshops on offer. Search for a specific workshop or browse our selection.

If you are a Christchurch postgraduate student, you will be emailed the details of all Christchurch workshops at the start of each semester. A reminder will be sent a few days before each workshop.

Workshop Name Designing an effective conference poster
About Workshop This 90 minute workshop will teach you the basic communication design skills to create a great conference poster. We will explore the relationship between the form and function of poster design by critiquing examples and applying principles. This will ensure you can present your research in the best way possible.
On completion of this workshop, you will be able to:
1. Adopt basic communication and design principles to create an imaginative and effective conference poster
2. Explore and evaluate poster design by critiquing examples
