|Workshop Name||An Introduction to University Teaching|
|About Workshop||This two and a half day event is designed to support recently appointed academic teaching staff from all of Otago’s campuses (confirmation track and professional practice fellows), and will be of particular interest to those who are new to university teaching or to those requiring a refresher course on teaching in higher education. It is designed for those who have, or expect to have, considerable input in to course-design and student-assessment (other HEDC programmes will be more suitable for those with other teaching responsibilities, such as tutors).
The workshop begins with an late afternoon reception and a chance to meet the other attendees and the facilitators. On day-two there is a tapas meal at 6pm (fully funded by HEDC).
Teas and lunches are provided during the workshop, so please advise us if you have special dietary requirements. (Email firstname.lastname@example.org)
We do have some funding to support staff from other campuses to attend. Please contact Joanne Smith if you wish to access funding.
HEDC's seminar room is located upstairs and access is by stairs. If this will make access impossible for you, please email email@example.com.
